Welcome

With my 80th birthday fast approaching, I’m achingly aware how short this last Life Chapter is. Thank you for dipping into mine. It is chock-a-block full. My partner and I emigrated from Canada to Australia in 2021. I’m now a citizen of both countries. How lucky I am to still be able to share stories, photographs, and mental meanderings. Aging has more than a few downsides, but it is also rich in possibilities. So…welcome.

I would love to know more about you. Feel free to contact me here, on Instagram or Facebook.

Learn more about: The Reluctant Farmer

A memoir of unexpected change, rural resilience, and finding home in unlikely places.

When I traded city life for a remote ranch, I found myself navigating a world as unfamiliar as it was beautiful. The Reluctant Farmer traces the humour, heartbreak, and hope of that journey—and the lessons that continue to shape my life.

“A compelling account of learning the realities of ranch life…” — Sharon Butala

“A memoir about the courage to begin a life you are not entirely prepared for.” ~ OneTribune

Recipient of the Book World Front Award, “an accolade that celebrates extraordinary literature from around the globe.”
